Below is photo of your Grandpa Joe Brown Waldrep and many of his grandchildren taken in July 1960.

Debbie Tims Morris (sitting to the right of Grandpa Joe Waldrep) shared her memories of visiting her grandparents: "Georgia summer for me: eating watermelon, then taking the rinds down to the hogs; picking blackberries on " Yoo-Hoo" road for Grandma to make into cobbler; catching fireflies; playing house under the pines at the side of the house; having to dress up to go to town; Collegiate slaw dogs; making peach ice cream and everybody having to crank; hearing the trucks on the highway when going to sleep; the smell of boxwood; the caw of the blue jay; Grandma's pet Daddy longlegs; one box fan for the entire house; begging Grandpa to carry us to the lake; many more."

Katlynn Waldrep Côté (in the back, in the center) "I also remember visiting GA every few yrs or so growing up. I always looked forward to the trips. Grandma was the best cook ever! Waking up to the smell of bacon and all the other goodies she made was wonderful. I too remember that dirt road we would walk. Grandma would tell stories and it was just so peaceful. It was a different world for me when we would visit GA. Fond memories I will always cherish."
