Obituary for Ernest Felton Waldrep

Ernest Felton Waldrep, age 87, of Marietta, died July 7, 2013. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on July 10th, at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, with Rev. Chuck Whitaker officiating. Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter, Pam Waldrep Stephens and her husband, Jim, of Woodstock; son, Steve and his wife, Barbara of Marietta; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two nephews. Mr. Waldrep was a WWII Veteran in the Army’s 82nd Airborne. He fought in the Battle of Normandy on D-Day; in France and Germany; and, lived in Austria for a short time after the war. He retired from AT&T after 34 years. He was an outdoorsman and sports enthusiast, and enjoyed spending time with grandkids and great-grandkids.
