7120902, 10. Age 2 in 1850 census for Habersham Co. GA. In 1870 census living in home of Louis Lee Waldrep, Habersham Co GA. In 1880 census of Paulding Co GA; Vol 18, E.D. 161, Sheet 28, Line 36. He married Cornelia Harris, a niece to Casander Moody, in Paulding Co.GA.. Some records show his birth date as 1856, some as 1858, but his cemetery listing in Bosque County Texas, Riverside Cemetery, lists DOB as 10 Nov 1855 and his DOD as 15 Nov 1926. File number 33965 of the Texas Index to Death Records, Vols. 50-54 and Vols. 57-59 shows his listing and date as 15 Nov 1920.He is shown as 20 in the 1880 census for Paulding County GA, so his birthdate is probably 1858 even \with the cemetery headstone inscription. Other records support 1858 as his birthdate. 1900 census for Bosque Co TX shows his age as 43 and born Nov 1856. He wrote a letter to J. M. Moody in Paulding County, Georgia mid 1889 saying times are good. From the Paulding New Era. Some records show her DOB as 17 Sep 1859. She is the niece of Cassandra Moody Waldrep. + 38 M ii. Milton Alton WALDREP-43 was born on 3 Feb 1884. He died on 6 Oct 1945. 39 M iii. Alonzo WALDREP-669 was born on 15 Mar 1886 in Bosque Co., TX. He died on 4 Sep 1886 in Bosque Co., TX. He was buried in Sep 1886 in Bosque Co., TX. + 40 F iv. Minnie Lee WALDREP-44 was born about Apr 1888. She died about 1963. + 41 F v. Myrtle Della WALDREP-45 was born on 29 Jan 1890. She died on 27 Feb 1978. + 42 M vi. Frederick Augusta WALDREP-46 was born on 12 Nov 1891. He died on 5 Jun 1960. 43 M vii. Forest Warren WALDREP-47 was born on 11 Apr 1893 in , Bosque Co, TX. He died on 26 Oct 1988 in Meridian, Bosque Co, TX. He was buried on 27 Oct 1988 in Oak Grove Cemetery, Iredell, Bosque Co. TX. SSA Death Index; SSN 456-05-5215. He had no children but his wife had five by previous marriage. Four daughters and one son. In 1995 his wife was still living in Meridian, Texas. Lillie Bell WALDREP-463 was born on 5 Dec 1902. She died on 9 Jul 1935. His name might be spelled Naiman or Norman but is shown as it appears on his death certificate. The older girl shown in the 1880 census is a stepdaughter. He is shown in the 1900 census for Haywood County NC with a wife Lue S. and a son William b. about 1893. There was a stepdaughter with them named Martha J. Burch, b 1890. She had taken the Waldroup surname when she married 13 Feb 1905 to Calvin C. Shepard. Was the Marriage shown in Habersham County GA for a N. H. Waldrep to Lou E. Kennedy on 6 August 1887 another marriage for him? Yes, per Ellene Gowder. His Certificate of Death was used as basis for some of this information. It was filed May 4, 1940 by the Garrett Funeral Home in Waynesville NC. His name is shown as WALDROUP. His given name is spelled Namon. A copy of the death certificate is in file of Lloyd A. Waldrep. Felton Waldrep related how he and others visited him in NC during the 1930's when they went to get a load of green beans. We have searched for a divorce from his second wife and none can be found. 50 M iii. William Lee WALDREP-414 was born about 1884 in , NC. She is reported buried in an unmarked grave in Providence BaptistCemetery in Batesville, Habersham County Georgia: source is an interview with her niece by Mimi Jo Butler and Ellene Gowder about 1994. In the Habersham County Georgia Census for 1900, she is shown livingwith her mother Nancy E. Kennedy and one son. In the 1910 census of Habersham Co GA, she is living with her son Augustine, age 17. + 52 M v. Augustine Thomas WALDROUP-3729 was born about 1893. Lou A. Waldroup 3-5-1869 7-26-1945 Her Death Certificate shows father as Jack Mitchell and mother as Nancy Edmond, both born in Clay County NC. If surname is spelled correctly, Lou's name should be MITCHELL instead of MICHAEL. See 1900 census for Namon Waldroop, Jackson Co NC. He and some of his family are in the 1900 census for Hamilton County Texas. He attended a family reunion in GA and his name was shown as Albert. Proof that this is the same person came from death records of his son, Sullivan Thomas Waldrep that were collected by the Hamilton County Genealogical Society and a copy is in files of Lloyd Waldrep. His grandaughter, Myrle Waldrep Kirk, sent me copies of records that were given to her by Callie Waldrep Butler some years ago. These documents are in files of Lloyd A. Waldrep. Spelling in the records is near but not exactly the same as what is entered in the listing of the persons. We use the best interpretation we can for the name spelling. 8694408, sheet 23. See the Hamilton County Estate Probate records Number 806 in which he did not apply for Guardianship of the children. J. M. Butler was appointed Guardian and he was their uncle. See the notes of her mother-in-law. 57 M iv. Arthur Right WALDREP-409 was born on 13 Dec 1888 in , TX. He died in Jul 1974. He was a long-time or retired railroad worker. His last residence was in Floresville, Wilson Co., TX. 59 M vi. Tull Denton WALDREP-412 was born on 19 Nov 1892 in TX. Her children are shown first in the family listing. Others are her step-children 8694408, sheet 23. 63 M x. Elijah H. WALDREP-8866 was born on 23 Mar 1904 in TX. 64 M xi. Willie WALDREP-8867 was born on 5 Nov 1906 in TX. 65 M xii. Abner Preston WALDREP-8868 was born on 6 Apr 1908 in TX. |
